Description

Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Our client is the industry leader in the manufacture of industrial fabrics and composite materials and presently seek an Electrical Maintenance Engineer. This Electrical & Controls Maintenance Engineer role will be based at their Cambridgeshire UK manufacturing facility. As the Electrical Maintenance Engineer you will be a key member of the engineering team supporting the operation of the site, including ensuring controls systems performance does not affect safety, quality or delivery.
 

Electrical Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities:
 

  • Key part of the engineering team supporting the operation of the site, including ensuring controls systems performance does not affect safety, quality or delivery.
  • Controlling version control of PLC code / instrumentation parameters.
  • Resolving ongoing Control system failures.
  • Working with production departments on Continuous improvement projects to reduce Scrap and other production losses.
  • Supporting multiple engineering projects including working with suppliers to maintain control systems performance.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities Experience Required:

  • Time served Maintenance apprenticeship in Electrical / Electronic Engineering
  • BTEC HNC/D or Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline
  • Demonstrable knowledge of process control instrumentation, including temperature, pressure, flow control etc.)
  • Rockwell PLC knowledge required (Logix 5000 & 500, plus RS view), MUST
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety and SIL including safety PLCs
  • Strong understanding of PC and SCADA Control systems

Pay Rate: Competitive Salary in line with experience

Job Type: Monday – Friday, Permanent role, day pattern, will be required to be on-call every 5th week (Inc £50pd allowance for 24hrs on-call duty)
