Description


Our client is a major organisation operating in the waste management sector.  This role will be based at their facility in Wakefield, West Yorkshire and will be worked on a night shift pattern

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage the lubrication store and lubricates, both lub oils, greases, inventory to ensure availability of lubricates to support maintenance activities and shutdown
  • Manage the hydraulic oils inventory to ensure availability of lubricates to support maintenance activities and shutdown
  • Ensure the cleanliness of lubricates to prevent contamination by foreign fluids or solid contaminates
  • Advise the store person when lubricates restocking is required to ensure no stock outs
  • Maintain the oil transfer trolley in good working order and ensure moisture removal and contaminate filters are effective in prevented in contaminate oil being introduced into machine oil systems
  • Clean up any oil contamination as a result of maintenance activity as per site environment standards
  • Execute lubrication maintenance tasks as per the maintenance plans or as directed by the Maintenance Manager or Mechanical Engineer


Training / Qualifications

Essential:

  • Have experience in the management of lubricates and the correct use of lubricates in a manufacturing, process or utilities environment
  • Knowledge of centralised lubrication systems, total loss systems and single point auto lubs
  • Basic numeracy, literacy and computer skills are required along with the ability to work on their own initiative whilst also being part of a team
  • Reasonable verbal and written communication skills are necessary
  • Knowledge of bearings, chain drives, plain bearings and bushes, fluid couplings, slides etc


Desirable:

  • Holding or having held a Fork Lift Truck and/or MEWP licence


Experience/competencies required:

  • You must hold a valid driving licence and have experience in a heavy industrial or waste environment
