Maintenance Manager - Manufacturing

Description

We are working with a leading scientific business that require a Maintenance Manager following significant investment within the business, to oversee Safe Systems of Work and all planned and unplanned maintenance activities for a team of 12 engineers. The successful candidate will hold a relevant engineering qualification and have led a team of engineers within a manufacturing / production environment.


Maintenance Manager Responsibilities:

  • Safe Systems of Work In Place for all planned and unplanned maintenance activities
  • Ensure regulatory and statutory maintenance activities are fully in place and in use
  • Ensure all accidents and incidents are reported in timely manner, thoroughly investigated and actions implemented to prevent re-occurrence
  • Promote safe working environment through coaching of staff and where required use of hazard observation system
  • Investigation of all deviations and non-conformances in a timely manner
  • Ensure department is audit ready for both internal and customer audits
  • Improve asset availability and equipment efficiency though ongoing improvement of PPM schedules and TPM Program for both new and existing equipment
  • Root cause of equipment failures understood, corrective & preventative actions built into PPM schedules, SOPs or Capital Investment as required
  • Engineering stores are maintained and controlled, recognising site needs.
  • Manage departmental spend against budget
  • Identify end of asset life equipment, construct and maintain a priority based replacement plan
  • Leadership of staff ensuring resource correctly aligned against business priorities ensuring department output is efficient
  • Coaching of staff for superior performance and management of poor performance
  • Staff are adequately trained to support business need safely and compliantly


Maintenance Manager Experience Required:

  • Engineering degree or qualification
  • Production/Manufacturing/Scientific industry experience
  • Successful leadership of a team of engineers
