An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Regulatory Affairs Assistant to join an established a speciality chemical manufacturing business at its facility in Hertfordshire.  This role is being offered as a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.   
As a Regulatory Affairs Assistant you will play an important role supporting the Regulatory and Compliance manager on various projects ensuring all legislative requirements are kept up to date with changes in regulatory legislation and guidelines.

To be successful as a Regulatory Affairs Assistant you should hold a degree in Chemistry or closely related discipline and ideally possess previous commercial experience working in a chemical manufacturing environment. In addition Knowledge of CLP REACH SDS’s and GHS would be highly advantageous.

Regulatory Affairs Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Ensure safe handling information and material information is available for all incoming raw materials.
  • Utilise supplier and other sources to ensure risk assessments for the control of substances hazardous to health are maintained
  • Assist in the creation and update of information for customers (e.g. Specifications SDS and eSDS) 
  • Provide support to meet regulatory reporting and registration requirements.
  • Respond to customer queries and assist in preparing standard responses to emerging trends.

Regulatory Affairs Assistant Requirements:

  • Degree in chemistry or similar subject. 
  • Some industrial experience ideally in a specialty chemical or solvents business.
  • Awareness of chemical legislation such as CLP REACH and GHS
  • Some experience of QC and analytical data handling.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft applications.

Salary: £23 000 - £26 000 + Benefits
