Description

A growing Biopharmaceutical company is looking for a Senior Scientist to join the team. You will support the development of drug development programs, via program management and input into scientific strategy. You must hold a PhD in molecular life science or related subject to apply for this role.

Responsibilities –

  • Program management of preclinical and/or early clinical stage haemato­ oncology drug candidates, including external vendors and collaborators
  • Primary expertise and contribute to scientific strategy for relevant programs
  • liaison with relevant CROs and external collaborators, to ensure preparation of protocols, data analysis, report preparation and review
  • Coordination of translational research activities to support haematological and/or solid tumour development strategy for the company's compounds
  • Analysis and interpretation of biological data for non-clinical decision making
  • Planning and management to meet milestones, timelines and budgets
  • Assistance in compilation of regulatory submissions
  • Assistance in identification of and application for, appropriate grant funding and collaborative research opportunities
  • Evaluation of complex project risks and issues; both existing and potential programs new to the company
  • Project troubleshooting.

Experience –

  • Strong working knowledge of oncology drug development and/ or translational research, with a minimum of 5 years' industry experience in the human medicine life sciences field
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams in a biotech or pharmaceutical industry environment, is preferred
  • Proven track record in human medicine life sciences or haemato-oncology
  • Publications /presentations in peer-reviewed journals or conferences
  • Demonstrable experience in the following is advantageous but not essential:
  • small molecule or biologic drug development
  • biomarker development
  • precision medicine
  • Highly computer literate, including Microsoft Office and appropriate scientific software
  • Flexible, enthusiastic and well organised, with the ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong communication and reporting skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, complemented by a positive, can-do attitude and proactive approach.
